Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said Nepal’s biodiversity should be linked with people’s livelihood.
Prime Minister Dahal said so during a meeting with a delegation comprising Director General of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Dr Burno Oberle on Wednesday. He also expressed the belief that support would continue in the sector of financial progress of the people through sustainable management of natural means and resources.
Lauding Nepal’s role in bio-diversity and environment conservation, Director General Oberle expressed satisfaction towards the activities carried out in partnership with Nepal. Nepal is a member country of IUCN since 1974.
