Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said he rejected the proposal put forth by CPN (UML) Chairperson, KP Sharma Oli.
Chair Nepal, who arrived in Surkhet on Monday for orientation programme for party strengthening in Karnali, shared that he rejected Chair Oli’s proposal of sharing the presidential term, saying it was not good for the nation.
He opined, “We supported the Nepali Congress candidate Ram Chandra Poudel thinking it would be better to support the alliance, to maintain honesty and balance of power.”
Saying his party’s existence and role was significant in the country, Chair Nepal mentioned national consensus was the needed for protection of constitution, federalism, democracy and republicanism.
